Business Keyboarding
This 18-week class develops skills in beginning keyboarding, emphasizing the correct finger placement for the QWERTY keyboard (the keyboard most commonly used by typewriters and computers) and accuracy. With the new computer-based testing for the Florida State Assessments test, keyboarding is becoming a crucial skill for all of our students. Daily lessons are completed in class but can be completed at home if necessary. Weekly assignments are entered into agenda books on the first class day of each week. All typing lessons are completed using the EduTyping website: www.edutyping.com.
Students will also develop introductory level skills in the use of word processing and presentation graphics software utilizing Google Docs and Google Slides.
